Claude in Orange County

Free, hands-on Claude events in Tustin and Newport Beach. Three so far, 389 people registered, and no one has ever been charged to walk in.

This is where claudeoc.com now lives. Same events, same host, same county — now sitting alongside Los Angeles and San Diego, because the people who came kept asking what else was happening nearby.

The room

Orange County events fill fast. The first, at Centercode in Tustin, drew 130 registrations against a 150 cap. The second filled the Newport Beach Civic Center with 168.

The third, on the Balboa Peninsula, took 91 people through Claude Code from a standing start.

The room is mixed on purpose: engineers next to operators next to people who opened Claude for the first time that week.

Nothing is sold from the front. Food is provided, the demos run five minutes, and the whole thing is over by seven.

Who runs it

Travis Johnson has hosted all three, with Gideon Needleman co-hosting the August beginners session. Venues have been provided by Centercode and the City of Newport Beach.
